Young Employee of the Year Awards

On Monday 5th June, we held a dinner in the Beaumont Hotel to present our Young Employee of the Year awards. Last year's winner, Rebecca Dent, provided an excellent introduction to the evening by describing how she had used last year's award by attending a Foaling Course in Newcastle to increase her knowledge as a Veterinary Nurse.

winners After Rebecca's talk, it was time to announce this year's winners. The award is an opportunity for buinesses in the Hexham area to recognise exceptional young employees who must be under the age of 25. The winner receives a cup and £500, second place receives £250 and the third placed youngster gets £100 with the money to be used to further their careers.

Katie Protheroe from Osbit Engineering was the overall winner and received the cup and cheque from Fay Hartland, the Deputy Mayor of Hexham. Our picture shows Katie on the righjt with the other winners and organisers of the night.
