Donations to the Minerva Centre and Gateway to the Community.
Our outgoing President, Andy Rigg, had one last task to perform having now handed over to Miles Middleton, the incoming President.
He presented Rotary cheques to the value of £333 each to Margaret Maughan of the 'Minerva Centre' and Sharyn Castelow of 'Gateway into the Community'.
The Minerva Centre in Hexham seeks to improve the lives and opportunities of people with learning difficulties through courses on art, craft and textile design, while the Gateway to the Community provides a bridge with day services, individual support and group activities offering living skills opportunities to young people.
The money was donated by 'Links Housing and Advice for Young People' by one of it's trustees, Rotarian George Robinson.
